International Education Week 2014!

International Education Week 2014!

International Education Week is an opportunity for you to share YOUR culture and traditions with Americans. In order to encourage you to be active in IEW and to reward your participation, the Inbound Team has organized the following contests. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges made up of American Councils staff and volunteers in Washington, D.C. Students may enter up to two categories (one submission per category), and we will choose one winner per category. Prizes vary from $25-$50 gift certificates.

"Host An Ambassador" Video and Print Campaign!

"Host An Ambassador" Video and Print Campaign!

This year, the International Student Support Team is holding its first annual “Host an Ambassador” Campaign! Now is your chance to encourage families and individuals across the U.S. to host a bright, young scholarship student (like YOU!) next year. Create a short video (think: TV commercial) or print/artwork that makes the case for becoming a host family with American Councils. Why should people host scholarship students?

FLEX Students Join the Neon Splash Dash in Texas

The Neon Splash Dash 5k is an annual event to raise money and awareness for children's heart disease and research. Eight American Councils FLEX students from Georgia, Armenia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine, along with one American Councils YES student from Egypt, volunteered for over 7 hours during this charity race in Texas, helping to spray the runners as they came through the splash zones.
