Our Students

We support high school (ages 15-17) scholarship students from more than 50 countries. While in the US, our students are proud to serve as citizen ambassadors for their respective countries. Upon returning home, they continue to carry their positive experiences of the US—especially their host communities—throughout their lives.

If your family often spends Sundays in the fall watching your favorite football team, count Gungor from Turkey in! Gungor, who goes by ‘Kerem’ is excited to learn more about American football during his time in the U.S., but also wants to try baseball and catch some NBA games with his family.  Kerem would also love to watch his favorite Marvel movies with you or binge watch your favorite TV series. He also loves to read- his favorite books are the Harry Potter series and The Martian

Kerem says: “My favorite activity is drama because I love acting. I love that feeling when I take to the stage!” He is very pragmatic about his passion, though; while Kerem would like to be an actor, he plans to go to university first so he’ll have a plan in place in case acting doesn’t work out.

An animal lover, Kerem would love to live in a family with cats. He can’t wait to join his new host family and start a new adventure as an exchange student in the United States!
