Does your family have any pets? Ardasherkhon always wished that he could have a cat or dog to welcome him when he returns home at the end of a busy day! With his positive attitude and desire to try new things, Ardasherkhon would be a great addition to any host family. He can’t wait to meet his American family because he believes “family is the most important thing in our life.” He and his parents and siblings spend their free time picnicking in the park or watching movies at the local cinema. When it’s his turn to pick the film, he always leans towards sci-fi; the Star Wars series is his absolute favorite!
When he’s not with his family, he enjoys going to concerts with friends, playing his favorite sports, soccer and basketball (which he’d love to continue in the U.S.!), or practicing martial arts, which have taught him to be a more disciplined person. With his curious and open-minded personality, he is eager to try new hobbies as well. He has begun learning how to play the guitar. He also tried dancing and painting for the first time and found them to be a lot of fun!
He hopes one day he can change the world and believes FLEX is “a good opportunity to learn more about a new country, new people and new culture. [My] country has a rich history and a lot of traditions and customs and I think it may be interesting for Americans to know more about Central Asia and Tajikistan.”
