About Abdul Razaak
Family is one of the biggest parts of Abdul’s life, and he’s sure that his hosts will become like a second family. Along with his parents and siblings, he often goes to the beach on weekends. Every month, they travel out of their community to visit with other relatives in order to maintain strong family bonds. “I am an animal lover! I play with my pets; four cats and a dog. I also feed the turkeys.” Reading and writing articles are two of his favorite hobbies, which have a strong impact on one of his future goals to become a fictional writer. His other career goal, to become a heart surgeon, comes from his strong desire to help others. He is very active in his school quiz competitions, debate team, and wildlife club. During his YES year, Abdul hopes to write captivating articles for his school newspaper from the perspective of an exchange student. He’s excited for the chance to learn new talents in the future, such as playing the piano, playing chess, swimming, and cooking American food. “In a nutshell, I am quite a jovial boy and admire tolerance in people. I am looking forward to meeting you!”
