Minja plans to use her warm personality and excellent communication skills to make many new American friends during her exchange year. “My friends are really important to me! We often organize one day excursions to nearby parks or towns. They are so kind and positive!” Minja can also be considered creative and artistic. She takes part in her school plays, and also sings in the choir. Minja loves filling her free time with extra foreign language lessons – she speaks four languages! She also takes weekly dance lessons, loves to go swimming and plays volleyball too.
Minja gets excellent marks in all of her classes, however science is where she really shines. “I work on the biggest science festival in my city! The best thing about it is that students organize and work on this festival, so we can show our creativity and interests in many aspects of science, art, and foreign languages.” Her leadership skills expand beyond organizing this festival, as she is also the president of her school parliament. Volunteering is something that really excites Minja. She works on fundraising projects to benefit less fortunate children. “In the United States, I would love to try to volunteer, and to be a part of some extracurricular activities connected to management and business.”
Minja can’t wait to spend this year in the U.S. She says: “I am ready to be a part of your family! I hope we will have a great time together, full of wonderful and unforgettable memories.”
