About Serghei
Serghei comes from a family of varied interests. You might find him sitting with his mother discussing interior design, visiting his sister in Germany, or helping his brother to clean the family restaurant. They unite together, though, to watch films and take walks. He says, “I can easily adapt!” In his free time, you will find him working as a graphic designer, decorating his room, or watching films in different languages. He also works in a local information technology company as a social media manager. Serghei “really likes IT” and says “it gives him a lot of opportunities in his hometown.”
With his two close friends, Serghei enjoys playing “intellectual games” and going to the movie theater every weekend. Not only does he watch films, but he also makes cinematic videos, including writing scripts and creating short sketches. “I can express my ideas and describe the mood through color and sound to convey my emotions. I am in love with this process. I'm just starting out, and I want to connect my future with media content.” Serghei’s dream is to work as a project manager in marketing and design.
In the U.S., Serghei would like to “build a long-term relationship” with his host family. “I really appreciate and respect people like you who are willing to host and share experiences with young people from other countries,” he adds. Serghei hopes to continue videography but also explore other creative outlets, such as hip-hop or journalism. Be it movie nights or cooking food together, he is excited for new adventures!
