About Horia
Horia is friendly, responsible, and open‑minded and is excited to experience life with an American host family. He loves spending time with his parents, and they often end their days together, sharing stories and recapping the events of the day. Horia is also an animal lover, especially cats, and would welcome a host pet during his exchange year! At home, Horia helps his parents by washing dishes, taking out the trash, and keeping his room clean each week.
Education is important to Horia, and he always makes sure to finish homework before relaxing or spending time on hobbies. Horia enjoys listening to music, going out with friends, and playing video games. Sports are also an important part of his life, especially “team sports because I get to play with my friends.” Horia enjoys soccer, handball, and tennis, but his favorite activity is basketball, which helps him relax and stay active. He also loves Formula 1 and dreams of studying engineering so he can have a job centered around cars. Horia participates in volunteering with his classmates, especially at events for children, and enjoys helping his community.
During his exchange year, Horia hopes to experience American high school life by joining a sports team or new club. He is also looking forward to learning about his host family’s culture as he hopes to “celebrate holidays that we don’t have in Romania and try different kinds of traditional foods.” He is grateful for the opportunity to participate in this exchange program and excited to become part of a welcoming family.
