About Muhammad Ameen

Muhammad Ameen lives with his mother at his grandparent’s home, a place where he has his earliest memories. He has a strong relationship with his family, especially his uncles and grandparents, and he loves spending time with them. Muhammad Ameen can often be found in the kitchen, baking treats with his grandmother or listening to his grandfather’s stories. He loves “doing any activity with my family,” and is excited to continue this mentality in the U.S. with his host family! Muhammad Ameen also prides himself in being responsible and is very helpful around the house with chores. He especially enjoys gardening and taking care of his grandparent’s plants.

In addition to cooking and gardening, Muhammad Ameen is interested in poetry, drawing, chess, board games, and science. He dreams of becoming a surgeon because he wants to help others and make his parents proud. Muhammad Ameen is also very social and admits, “I have a lot of friends and am very close with them because we have shared interests. We like to go for picnics, play soccer, and try new activities together.” As a friendly and outgoing person, Muhammad Ameen knows that his variety of interests and social skills will be useful tools in creating lasting friendships in his host community.

When looking ahead to his time in the US, Muhammad Ameen is most excited to “gain knowledge about American culture and way of life, spend time with his host family, and study in an American school.” He also hopes to share his own culture with others and would love to cook traditional meals for his host family. Muhammad Ameen loves to learn new skills and is always on a quest of discovering new information and gaining knowledge, a mindset he is excited to continue in the U.S!
