About Agnes
Agnes is a thoughtful and curious teen who finds joy in simple moments with family, good books, music, and meaningful conversations. She describes herself as someone who is "almost always lost in a good book," and she loves listening to music, watching feel-good movies, and learning new things. Growing up, she has balanced academics with helping care for her family's pigs and ducks, an experience that taught her responsibility and perseverance. Agnes also enjoys baking, studying Korean, spending time with friends, and sharing meals and laughter with the people she loves.
One of Agnes's greatest strengths is her maturity and determination. Her teacher notes that she works well with others and embraces new challenges positively. Agnes takes pride in learning from setbacks and reflects, "I came to a realization that I cannot get everything I wanted unless I put even more effort into it." She hopes to experience everyday American life, attend school sports games, celebrate holidays, and see seasonal changes that she has only read about and seen in films.
