About Slobodanka
Slobodanka is a lively and talented student who fills her days with music, sports, academics, and time with loved ones. She loves singing, playing volleyball, reading, listening to music, and trying new foods with friends and family. Music has become a central part of her life through choir, music school, and playing both the piano and cello. As she puts it, "I absolutely LOVE music," and she also enjoys activities that allow her to explore new interests because she "adore[s] trying new things."
One of Slobodanka's greatest strengths is her enthusiasm for people and new experiences. She describes herself as social and extroverted, loves meeting new people, and enjoys learning about different cultures. Her experiences singing with award-winning choirs have taught her teamwork, adaptability, and confidence, including performing an unfamiliar vocal part at the World Choir Games, where her choir earned a gold medal. She reflects that "I learned a lot from older participants" and made friends from different countries, showing both maturity and openness to learning from others.
A host family will gain an energetic, curious, and involved family member who genuinely wants to participate in everyday life. Slobodanka hopes to build lasting friendships, learn about American traditions, and experience new school activities such as debate, theater, softball, and track and field. She says, "I would like to make new friendships from my exchange experience!"
