Marios

About Marios

Outgoing, ambitious, and driven Marios is excited to embrace his year in the United States! His extroverted nature and openness to new experiences make him eager to connect with others and explore life in his host community!

Marios lives with his mom and twin brother where family time is a cherished part of his life. His favorite tradition is Friday night dinners: “It’s the perfect time to catch up and, of course, enjoy delicious food.” Marios takes pride in helping around the house and keeping his space tidy. He’s also a dedicated pet owner, caring for his dog and three parrots!  Marios stays busy with a variety of school activities, including swimming, volleyball, pottery, and debate club. He’s especially looking forward to trying ice hockey in the U.S. “I enjoy ice skating, and I find team sports to be quite fun!” A natural leader with a big heart, Marios was elected to his school council by his peers—a role he takes great pride in as it allows him to stand up for others.

Marios’s love for nature fuels many of his favorite activities. As a passionate scout, he enjoys spending time outdoors playing traditional games: “In my opinion, they’re way more fun than playing on a computer!” When he’s not exploring the woods, you’ll find Marios by the water, where he loves to swim and collect seashells. Indoors, his favorite pastime is watching comedies—anything starring Adam Sandler is sure to make him laugh!

Marios is excited to meet new people, explore new places, and step out of his comfort zone. He’s looking forward to learning more about himself, gaining a second family, and making lifelong memories during his year in America! “I can’t wait to meet you!”
