Mila comes from a close, lively family where conversation, laughter, and shared routines are part of everyday life. She enjoys spending time with friends—long walks, coffee, or simply sitting and talking for hours—and cherishes relaxed family evenings around the dinner table. Mila loves reading, watching movies, listening to music, and being outdoors, and she describes herself as someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people. As she writes, “I especially enjoy those first conversations where you get to know someone—learning about their background, what shaped them, and how they see the world.”
Mila takes initiative naturally and enjoys bringing people together, whether through student government, school events, or everyday interactions. Mila reflects, “I don’t chase perfection anymore, I’m chasing growth,” a mindset that shows her maturity and emotional self‑awareness. She takes feedback seriously, works hard in school, and approaches challenges as opportunities to learn rather than obstacles.
As a host family member, Mila would be an engaged, respectful, and joyful presence who genuinely wants to be part of daily family life. She looks forward to sharing Serbian food, stories, and traditions while fully embracing American routines, traditions, and school spirit. Mila hopes to explore new activities in the U.S., meet teenagers from different backgrounds, and better understand herself through the exchange experience. In her words, “I want a life full of stories, adventures, and meaningful connections,” and she sees this exchange year as a defining step toward that future.
