Noam

About Noam

Noam is a warm, thoughtful student who grew up in a close‑knit family where respect, adaptability, and community are part of daily life. Her family moved between islands, so she learned early how to adjust to new environments and build friendships quickly. She enjoys music, volleyball, swimming in open water, cultural dance, and school drama, and values spending time with family above all else. As she shares, “Adapting to new environments, meeting new faces, and making friends has become part of our lives.”

Noam describes herself as social, curious, and respectful—qualities consistently reflected in her essays, interviews, and teacher recommendations. She believes curiosity helps her learn faster because she is never afraid to ask questions, explaining that it helps her “learn quickly, by questioning or asking about whatever I want to learn about.” Respect is central to her character, especially toward elders and peers, and she takes pride in living by these values every day. When she doesn’t succeed, she reflects honestly, noting, “It’s not about winning, it’s about participating,” and uses setbacks as motivation to improve.

Noam would thrive in a host family that values communication, structure, and shared experiences. She appreciates clear rules, helps with household responsibilities, and enjoys participating in family routines such as meals, chores, and conversations. She is excited to experience everyday American life, improve her English, and attend high school while learning about the U.S. Noam hopes to study law and technology and return home to support her community.
