About Daria M
Responsible Daria is very thankful for her supportive family and shows her appreciation for them by helping with chores around the house. She also plays an important role in caring for her younger brother by helping him with homework and keeping him safe when her parents are busy. Caring for others is very important to Daria as she dreams of becoming a surgeon, writing, "I want to help people by improving their health and savings lives through medical care.”
Daria is passionate about music, especially the piano which she has been playing for many years. She enjoys competing in piano competitions and loves it as a way “to relax, express my emotions, and challenge myself.” She also enjoys drawing, photography, reading, and going to the gym. Daria has a small group of close friends who are a very important part of her life. When they have free time, they enjoy listening to music, going out to eat, studying, and spending time talking and laughing all together.
Daria considers herself friendly, open-minded, and respectful, all characteristics which she knows will help her adapt to her future host community. During her exchange year, Daria hopes to stay busy as she shares, “I would like to try new activities like joining a club, attending a concert, exploring my host community, and meeting new people!” She looks forward to becoming part of a welcoming host family and learning about their everyday life and culture.
