About Hayk

“Hello from the other side of the world!” Meet Hayk—an ambitious, outdoorsy, and community-focused teen from Armenia who can’t wait to be part of your family! Hayk is an open-minded and enthusiastic social butterfly with friends from all corners of his life—"they all have a special place in my heart,” he shares.

In his free time, Hayk loves being outdoors. Whether he’s hiking through his country’s scenic landscapes or helping his grandparents harvest fruits and vegetables from their garden, he finds joy in spending time in nature—especially with the people he loves. He’s excited to learn about your family’s hobbies and is eager to join in on any outdoor fun together! A passionate volunteer, Hayk gives his time to the Red Cross and hopes to continue volunteering while in the U.S. He’s also looking forward to joining cross-country or any outdoor sport that keeps him active and connected to nature.

Hayk is especially proud to share a bit of Armenian warmth, hospitality, and culture with your home and community. He’s curious about American history, government, and everyday life—and hopes to bring what he learns back home as a “positive change-maker.” As he puts it, “I am a high school student who believes he can have a huge positive impact and make this world a better place to live.”

With his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and eagerness to connect, Hayk is ready to make lasting memories and become part of your family! “I already love and admire you,” he writes, “because you are taking a huge responsibility by doing this great job.”
