Julia
About Julia
Family is central to Julia’s life. She is used to being part of a lively household and naturally takes responsibility at home by helping prepare meals, doing laundry, cleaning, and caring for her dog. Sundays are reserved for family board games, and whenever possible, they escape to the mountains for hiking trips that Julia often helps plan. These experiences have taught her independence, cooperation, and appreciation for shared time which are qualities that would make her a respectful and engaged member of a host family.
Julia loves sports and is especially passionate about volleyball, sharing, “Volleyball makes me the best version of myself and teaches me to work in a group.”. Alongside sports, she loves music and creativity as she has played the violin since she was young. In the future, Julia hopes to be an architect as she enjoys drawing and is currently taking architecture classes in her free time. When Julia wants to relax, she can often be found listening to music, drawing, or baking a sweet treat like cinnamon rolls!
Julia dreams of experiencing everyday life in the United States and school life is an aspect of the program she is especially excited for. “I am very curious about what it’s like to be part of an American high school,” she shares. To help her adapt to the new community, Julia plans to join a school club or try a new sport like cheerleading. Open‑minded, caring, and eager to share her culture, Julia would be a positive and engaging addition to any host family.
