About Ula
Friendly Ula comes from a close-knit family that loves spending quality time together - especially on weekends - cooking new recipes, going for walks, watching movies, and taking short trips to nearby towns. Family life is very important to Ula, and she values kindness, communication, and shared experiences. She shows her appreciation to her parents by helping with household chores, sharing, “I take care of our pet dogs which has taught me to be patient and responsible.”
Ula is highly creative and passionate about the arts. Her favorite activity is dancing, especially hip hop and contemporary dance, as it “challenges me and lets me show my creativity.” She also plays the guitar, sings in a choir, and performs in a small band with friends. In addition, Ula volunteers with a charity organization that supports her local community, and this has helped her develop empathy and social responsibility. In her free time, Ula enjoys spending time with friends, being outdoors, journaling, and exploring new places.
Through her exchange program, Ula hopes to experience everyday life in the US, improve her English, grow more independent, and build meaningful relationships at school and within her host community. She would love to continue exploring her creative passions in the US while also trying new activities like cheerleading. Ula wants her host family to know that she is “friendly, curious, and always willing to try new things!”
