About Lejla

Sporty and active Lejla has been training in track and field since she was young, and it has become one of her favorite pastimes! She loves participating in sporting events because it allows her to build friendships with her teammates and travel to new places. As a self-proclaimed extrovert, Lejla loves meeting new people and spending time with her friends who are a very important part of her life. They often go to concerts, play games, or spend time outside in their local park, which is one of Lejla’s favorite activities as she loves to explore nature. Lejla is also very creative, as she is passionate about writing and playing the piano. She shares that “playing the piano is a great way for me to express myself and relax when I have free time.”

Lejla also enjoys volunteering with local organizations and training young children in track and field. She loves these activities because she gets to help her community, and she finds it rewarding to support others as they develop and improve their skills. Her passion for helping others is also demonstrated in her career ambitions, as she hopes to study law or medicine.

During her time in the US, Lejla is looking forward to living with a host family and trying new things, like going to an American sporting event or exploring a national park. As a lover of learning and school, Lejla is excited to attend a US high school and see how it differs from her own school at home. She shares that, “Experiencing American culture and food is a dream come true!” Lejla is also excited to share her own culture with others, as she knows this will help her create lifelong friendships and find a second home with her host family.
